SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take charge of our DevOps strategies and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in AWS DevOps, with the ability to create sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and automate a variety of development and testing activities. This role is hands-on and requires an expert-level understanding of the AWS ecosystem, with a strong capability to work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Immediate problem identification and remediation are key aspects of this role.
This is a full-time, remote/work-from-home opportunity with a starting base salary of $170,000 - $180,000 annually; salary is commensurate with experience. The normal operating hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for a range of projects on AWS.
  • Automate development, testing, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency
    and reliability.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
  • Oversee the management of AWS resources and ensure proper infrastructure setup for high availability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Lead the charge on incident management and response, quickly addressing and remediating any issues that arise.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in
    the resolution of outages.
  • Keep up to date with the latest AWS services and best practices, implementing them
    to improve our services continually.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Architect to align DevOps strategies with company goals.
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement
    and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENTCIES:
  • At least 7 years of experience in DevOps roles, with a significant focus on AWS environments.
  • Expertise in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
  • Solid background in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify and prioritize immediate needs and issues effectively.
  • AWS certifications are highly advantageous.
