Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k).

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to support the administration, reliability, security, and ongoing optimization of a cloud-based infrastructure environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining AWS resources, supporting deployments, improving operational processes, and helping ensure cloud systems remain secure, available, and cost-effective.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AWS experience, a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across a production environment. Experience working within a healthcare-related technology environment is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • AWS Infrastructure: Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting business-critical applications and services, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and availability.
  • Cloud Operations: Monitor cloud environments, investigate performance or availability concerns, and proactively address infrastructure issues.
  • Security & Access: Administer cloud security controls, user permissions, access policies, encryption, and other measures designed to protect company systems and data.
  • Business Continuity: Support backup, recovery, and resiliency strategies to help ensure critical systems and information remain available.
  • Cloud Optimization: Review resource utilization and AWS spending while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain scripts, infrastructure-as-code, and automated processes to improve the consistency and efficiency of cloud administration.
  • Application Support: Partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support application deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting within AWS.
  • Infrastructure Documentation: Maintain technical documentation related to cloud architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and support processes.
  • Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to the AWS environment and related operational processes.
  • Technology Awareness: Keep current with AWS capabilities, cloud security practices, and emerging technologies that may improve the organization's infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and administration.
  • Experience with core AWS services and cloud resource management.
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual networks, routing, subnets, and security controls.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using technologies such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and access management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certification such as Solutions Architect – Associate or SysOps Administrator – Associate.
  • Experience supporting technology within healthcare, medical services, pharmacy, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record platforms or healthcare financial/revenue-cycle technology.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments where availability, security, and data protection are critical.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment practices.

What We're Looking For

  • We are looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on with AWS and can take ownership of day-to-day cloud operations while also identifying opportunities to improve the environment. The successful candidate will be a strong troubleshooter, communicator, and collaborator who can work across infrastructure, development, and business teams.
