Job Summary
The Sales Manager for Refined Fuel Trucks is responsible for executing sales strategies, business development, and revenue growth within the Refined Fuel Trucks Division. This role focuses on establishing strong relationships with key clients and developing innovative approaches to increase market share and profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the fuel trucks sector, combined with a strong background in sales and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Execute Sales Strategies: Execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s objectives, focusing on new business development and client retention.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the fuel trucks sector, including expansion into new geographies and sectors, developing long-term partnerships with key industry players.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the market.
  • Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Participate in forecasting efforts and pipeline calls aligning to Refined Fuel Trucks budget and expectations.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead high-level negotiations and close major deals while ensuring that all contracts meet company standards and goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment on product offerings, pricing strategies, and market initiatives.

Travel Requirements
Regular travel is required and is expected to be a minimum of 10+ per year (usually for 2 to 3 days per occurrence).
Office Location / Report To
Sales Manager – Refined Fuel Trucks may office at SkyMark Headquarters in Kansas City, MO, and reports to the VP of Sales. Remote employment will be considered for qualified candidates, with the expectation of regular travel to headquarters and customer sites.
SkyMark Refuelers is a market leading manufacturer of custom work trucks serving the aviation refueling, liquid waste removal, hi-rail maintenance, direct-to-locomotive refueling, and refined fuel delivery industries. With its headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, SkyMark also operates a world-class aviation refueler facility in Findlay, Ohio along with a tank plant in Sullivan, Illinois.
