ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY & THE TEAM

This role is a part of our Active Safety User Experience Segment at WindRiver. This is an exciting, high impact role for aPrincipalProductManagerwith a passion for mission critical software whoseeksto impact customersglobally.

Responsibilities

As a member ofEdgeProduct Management team,you willbe theadvising products'direction as it pertains to the automotive market, specifically ADAS, IVI, and fusion systems.
You will collaborate with the rest of the Product Management team who works horizontally on VxWorks, Helix Platform, Wind River Linux LTS andeLxrto ensure that the technical and business justifications are documented and understood. To that end, you will aggregateinput fromexternalcustomers, sales, market research, fellow product managers, partners, etc.,to execute againstthebroad product strategy and drive product truth. You willbe the single threaded leader for the auto market and owntheautomotiveroadmap and its rationalization, understandingthe competitive landscape, to ensure revenue growth. You will work in close partnership withAptiv stakeholders, andexperiencedProduct Management, Engineering,Salesteams..

About you

You are a PrincipalProductManager or similarwith experiencein automotive software,complex platforms, middleware,and associated toolsand technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Acombined 10+ years ofexperience at a Tier 1 or OEM working on software stacks with an RTOS or Linux.
  • Strong familiarity with ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
  • EffectiveProduct Management skills includingtrend analysis, roadmap creation, prioritization and backlog,customer requirementsgathering, market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM),etc.
  • Ability to articulateautomotive software trends.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and incomplete information.
  • Demonstrated application of business rationalization against a technical product.
  • Demonstrated experience writing requirements forengineering.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration mindset.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, MBA a plus. Bachelor's degree with suitable experience.

Minimal travel is required (5%).

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role's listed grade level is currently $170,000 to $200,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $188,000 to $220,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays
