Job description

Position Summary/Objective
The Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for creating automated tests and maintaining regression test suites across multiple products and services to ensure high-quality product releases.
Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities
  • Create and execute automated product testing to meet project schedules as required. Collaborate with QA Automation engineers, including onshore and offshore resources. Coordinate team activities, identify individual tasks, and mentor team members on technical procedures and techniques. Create test strategies for automated testing.
  • Maintain regression suites and automation pipelines, ensuring clean runs, fast execution times, and minimal false positives. Work with the Scrum team to promptly address issues found during regression analysis. Accumulate statistical data and report trends to management.
  • In collaboration with QA Management, establish and evolve QA Automation processes, procedures, and tools following industry standards and best practices. Identify, recommend, and implement appropriate test strategies and test environments. Provide Automation subject matter expertise and technical leadership. Communicate automation progress to management with recommendations.
  • Develop a keen understanding of product functionality, customer needs, and product schedules to effectively translate into automated solutions. Respond rapidly to changing requirements and new projects by recommending and adjusting resources.
  • Foster a strong customer service mentality and work collaboratively with the QA team, software development teams, and internal customers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with the development, product design, and support teams.
  • Strive for high-quality product releases as measured by number of severity 1 defects found following release and customer satisfaction as measured by product surveys.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Software QA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience automating web-based applications using Selenium WebDriver, C#, and Page Object model.
  • Experience working in an agile scrum environment involving multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience with API testing (REST and SOAP services).
  • Experience with API test automation using ReadyAPI or SoapUI.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent Test Management Tool - configuring Repos, builds, test pipelines, defect tracking, and user stories.
  • Experience with SQL queries, MySQL and SQL Server preferred.
  • Experience with Behavior-driven development framework (Reqnroll preferred).
  • Experience working with offshore and onshore teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies in QA automation projects, with specific examples of achievements and improvements delivered through AI-assisted development, testing, or problem-solving in current or past projects.
  • Strong experience and proven ability to take ownership of single or multiple project regression suites, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation pipelines.

Nice to have
  • Experience with Salesforce QA environments, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with Workday or Tax software.
  • Experience with mocking tools (WireMock Cloud preferred).
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted coding environments.
