Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will build and evolve the internal platforms and services that empower engineers across the company to automate and accelerate software development, testing, and validation for autonomous vehicles worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and construct platform infrastructure spanning build, test, deployment, and release workflows across software and hardware environments.
  • Periodic oncall shifts during business hours focused on incident response and operational support for teamowned services.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting to internal customers.
  • Maintain and evolve an internal, multimodal test execution platform across target hardware and simulation, with integration into requirements tracking systems.
  • Develop and operate shared platform services, including workflow orchestration, observability, remote development environments, and authentication infrastructure.
  • Drive engineering quality through reference implementations, best practices, and continuous improvement of platform reliability and scalability.
  • Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards across design, implementation, and operations.

Competencies:

  • Strong software architecture and system design skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with Python or another modern object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.
  • Experience building intuitive, extensible, well-documented APIs.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, tooling, and engineering workflows.
  • Experience managing technical infrastructure across cloud-based and bare-metal environments.
  • Experience with observability, telemetry, and monitoring platforms such as Datadog.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including real-time debugging and deep log-based analysis.
  • Experience with performance analysis, operational metrics, and system reliability practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 6 or more years of relevant industry experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop test automation for embedded, robotics, or vehicle platforms.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration engines such as Temporal, AWS Step Functions, Airflow, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building or supporting developer productivity platforms such as remote development environments or virtual desktop infrastructure.
