What is a remote automation tester?

A Remote Automation Tester is a quality assurance professional who works from a remote location to design, develop, and execute automated tests on software applications. Their main role is to ensure that software products are reliable, efficient, and function as intended by identifying defects early in the development process. They use various automation tools and frameworks to create scripts that automatically verify software functionality, reducing the need for manual testing. Remote Automation Testers collaborate with development teams using communication tools and may be responsible for maintaining test environments and reporting test results.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote automation tester, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Automation Tester, you need a solid understanding of software testing principles, programming/scripting languages (such as Python, Java, or JavaScript), and hands-on experience with automation frameworks, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, and experience using version control systems such as Git are typically required, and certifications like ISTQB can be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication are crucial soft skills for collaborating across distributed teams. These competencies ensure reliable test automation, efficient bug detection, and seamless remote collaboration, which are essential for delivering high-quality software products.

What are some common challenges faced by remote automation testers and how can they be overcome?

Remote Automation Testers often face challenges such as coordinating test execution across different time zones, ensuring reliable access to test environments, and maintaining effective communication with development teams. Overcoming these challenges typically involves using robust collaboration tools, clear documentation of test cases, and scheduling regular check-ins with team members. Additionally, leveraging cloud-based testing platforms can help maintain consistent test environments and streamline test execution, ensuring productivity and seamless teamwork despite the remote setup.

What is the difference between Remote Automation Tester vs Remote Manual Tester?

Job description

ProService Hawaii is hiring a GTM Engineer to treat growth as an engineering problem. You will design and operationalize systems for demand capture, lead routing, and experimentation. Blending growth expertise with foundational engineering skills, you'll rapidly develop and instrumented, production-grade systems that serve as the foundation for our B2B growth motion.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Identify and prioritize the highest-leverage GTM motion to transform first: Partner with the marketing organization to surface opportunities, prioritize them for impact, and develop the strategy to act on them.

  • Build and ship working automations directly with Claude Code: Automate manual GTM processes—such as research and outbound sequencing—using Claude Code and event-driven tools (e.g., Zapier, n8n). This includes taking prototypes to production and productizing tools for team-wide use.

  • Own the enrichment strategy: Define ICP segmentation and scoring, and build "signal-to-action" workflows that turn raw data into sales-ready intelligence for reps.

  • Design and run multi-channel prospecting pipelines: Built-in A/B testing (sequences, subject lines, send times), automated lead enrichment/scoring, and response-detection routing — backed by deliverability infrastructure (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, domain warmup, bounce handling) that keeps it all landing in the inbox.

  • Support ABM & Paid Media: Orchestrate audience targeting on platforms like LinkedIn and Google, manage suppression and match-rate workflows, connect ad-platform engagement to down-funnel pipeline data, and build the testing/bidding automation that makes spend earn its keep.

  • Use AI to scale organic and inbound demand generation: Operationalize how ProService surfaces in search and AI-generated answers, how content shows up across the web, and tighten capture, routing, and speed-to-lead so inbound demand converts better.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

We believe the next generation of growth leverage comes from people who can both reason about CAC/LTV and write the code that moves it. If you've spent time at a startup wearing the growth hat and the engineering hat — instrumenting funnels, wiring up data pipelines, automating the manual stuff, prototyping with whatever tool gets you to a result fastest — this role is built for you.

We operate with extremely fast iteration cycles and believe in showing, not telling. You'll build something, ship it, watch real numbers move, and iterate.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Professional experience in GTM engineering, revenue technology, data engineering, or a closely related technical domain.

  • Strong bias toward action. You'd rather ship a working prototype and iterate than spec something to death. You're energized by a blank canvas, not intimidated by it.

  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (Zapier, n8n, Clay, or similar). You've shipped real automations, not just configured templates.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce. You understand the data model and have integrated with or automated within the CRM.

  • Experience connecting systems via APIs and comfort working with data integration tools (REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, rate limiting, error handling)

GTM & Tooling

  • You think like an owner: not just closing tickets, but asking whether the right problems are being solved in the right way.

  • Deep understanding of sales, marketing, and revenue processes — you know what GTM teams actually need from their systems, not just what they ask for.

  • You follow the AI space closely and have already built workflows with LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), not because it was assigned, but because you wanted to see what was possible

Plus (not required)

  • Experience with Snowflake or other data warehouses (Databricks, BigQuery).

  • Background in software engineering, data engineering, or a technical IC role.

  • Basic scripting in Python or JavaScript for custom workflow logic.

  • Prior experience in a high-growth or startup environment building foundational systems from scratch.

WORK LOCATION

Hawaii (Hybrid) or Pacific Time Zone (Remote)

We welcome applications from candidates based in Hawaii, who would work a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday, option for remote Monday & Friday), as well as fully remote candidates based on the US Mainland. Remote candidates must be available during Hawaii Standard Time (HST / UTC-10) business hours, with preference given to those in the Pacific Time Zone.

COMPENSATION

$99,000.00 to $137,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
