Remote Automation Engineering Manager information

What is a remote automation engineering manager?

Remote Automation Engineering Managers are professionals who lead teams of engineers focused on designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems, all while working remotely. They oversee project planning, team coordination, and the implementation of automation solutions that streamline business processes or production workflows. In addition to technical expertise, they require strong leadership and communication skills to manage distributed teams effectively. Their responsibilities often include setting technical direction, ensuring project deadlines are met, and facilitating collaboration using digital tools.

How does a remote automation engineering manager effectively lead and coordinate a distributed engineering team?

As a Remote Automation Engineering Manager, effective leadership relies on clear communication, regular virtual check-ins, and the use of collaborative tools to align team members across different time zones. You’ll be responsible for setting priorities, removing roadblocks, and ensuring automation projects stay on schedule, often requiring proactive management of asynchronous workflows. Building trust and fostering a sense of team cohesion are vital, so successful managers create opportunities for knowledge sharing, hold virtual stand-ups, and encourage open feedback. This approach helps maintain productivity and ensures everyone is aligned on objectives despite the lack of in-person interaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote automation engineering manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Automation Engineering Manager, you need strong expertise in automation engineering principles, leadership experience, and a relevant degree in engineering or computer science. Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Jenkins, and cloud platforms, as well as certifications such as PMP or Agile Scrum Master, are typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and remote team management skills help you lead distributed teams effectively. These skills and qualities are crucial for driving project success, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining productivity across remote teams.

Technical Marketing Engineer - LATAM & India

The Global Talent Co.

Remote

Full-time

Job description

Technical Marketing Engineer (LATAM & India) Remote

You will work with a forward-thinking company building the agentic OS for DevOps — a platform that enables autonomous operations across cloud infrastructure, site reliability, and observability.

Their AI agents make cloud environments self-building, self-governing, self-healing, and self-optimizing, eliminating the manual bottlenecks holding back modern engineering teams.

The platform spans three key areas:

AI SRE:

Uses AI agents to detect, diagnose, and remediate production incidents, eliminating toil and closing the gap between alert and resolution.

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering:

AI-powered automation built on enterprise-grade Terraform, enabling developers to provision production-ready infrastructure directly from their IDE using natural language — no tickets, no waiting, no platform team dependencies.

Managed Open Source Observability:

Delivers full-stack visibility without the cost or vendor lock-in of proprietary tooling, and without the manual effort of managing an open source stack.

Trusted by enterprise organizations across regulated industries, the company helps accelerate development velocity and improve operational reliability while maintaining visibility and control.

This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and marketing execution. You will bridge product capabilities with marketing initiatives, creating compelling technical content for SREs, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and developers at both practitioner and decision-making levels.

Position: Technical Marketing Engineer

Seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to join the team remotely from LATAM or India. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on DevOps/SRE experience with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into high-quality content and engaging technical narratives.

Candidates must be based in LATAM or India and possess strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Develop high-quality technical blog posts, tutorials, and documentation
  • Create demo videos, screencasts, and video tutorials showcasing product capabilities
  • Write technical case studies and implementation patterns
  • Produce white papers, technical guides, and solution briefs

Technical Demonstrations:

  • Build and maintain demo applications and proof-of-concepts
  • Design and deliver technical presentations for webinars and events
  • Create interactive demos and sandbox environments
  • Develop reference architectures and implementation templates

Developer Relations:

  • Engage with the developer community across forums and platforms
  • Gather feedback from technical users to inform product and content strategy
  • Contribute to open-source initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and identify content opportunities

Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Sales
  • Align technical content with campaign messaging and objectives
  • Partner with Customer Success to identify use cases and success stories
  • Support sales engineering with technical collateral

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience (Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern workflows
  • Familiarity with SRE practices, incident response, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices

Content & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Experience creating technical content (blogs, videos, documentation, presentations)
  • Strong storytelling skills with attention to detail

Experience:

  • 3–5 years in DevOps, SRE, or related technical roles
  • 1–2 years in technical marketing, developer relations, or content creation
  • Portfolio of technical content (blogs, videos, GitHub, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with infrastructure automation or configuration management
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (ScreenStudio, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with CMS and marketing automation tools
  • Understanding of SEO for technical content
  • Public speaking experience
  • Active presence in developer communities (GitHub, Stack Overflow, etc.)

About Us:

The company is building an AI-driven platform for DevOps, enabling autonomous operations across infrastructure, reliability, and observability.

If you enjoy combining technical expertise with storytelling and want to shape how a cutting-edge product is communicated to developers and engineering teams, this role offers a strong opportunity to make an impact.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to shape the technical narrative of an innovative product
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Professional development and learning opportunities
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Flexible work arrangements
