We’re looking to grow our Duck Creek Development Team at NLS!

Are you ready to take your Duck Creek expertise to the next level and make a real impact? As a Senior Developer, you won’t just write code—you’ll shape solutions that power critical insurance platforms, collaborate with talented teams, and mentor the next generation of developers.

In this role, you’ll work hands-on with Duck Creek’s powerful platform to design and deliver custom solutions that directly support client success. What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Develop and configure custom Duck Creek solutions using ManuScript

  • Help design scalable solutions that align with client strategies and future capabilities

  • Take ownership of customer issues and drive them through to resolution

  • Lead a small team of developers and contribute to project success

  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards

  • Contribute to planning, design, and continuous improvement of development processes


What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years working with Duck Creek products

  • Strong knowledge of the Duck Creek Platform (Author, Express, Server, User Admin, TransACT)

  • Experience with Duck Creek Server API and ManuScript development

  • Proficiency with XML/XSLT (or similar programming languages)

  • Experience with SQL Server (stored procedures, triggers, functions, cursors, XQueries)

  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, ADO/JIRA, and source control systems

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle, especially Agile environments

  • Experience mentoring developers and leading small project teams

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience
