Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The Global Marketing Intern (E&C Small Scale) will be responsible for content creation, editing and publishing of a broad variety of assets for E&C Small scale team focusing on customer targets including musicians, podcasters, videographers and streamers. They will be responsible for researching, recording, writing, and editing content to attract current and future retail target groups beyond feature-centric/product information. With a renewed focus on SEO, GEO, and AI considerations, the role aims to adapt and enhance our content strategy to stay ahead in the evolving digital landscape.


This Internship is Hybrid, based in Niles, IL. 


  • Lead Content Marketing Efforts:
    • Steer the E&C Global team’s content marketing initiatives, leveraging SEO, GEO, and AI to maximize reach and engagement.
  • SEO Strategy:
    • Write and optimize high-quality SEO content around relevant themes and product launches.
  • Customer Needs and Content Gaps:
    • Proactively identify customers’ needs and gaps in existing content, recommending new topics and approaches.
  • Research:
    • Conduct thorough research combining online sources, interviews, studies, and AI-driven insights to generate informative and engaging content.
    • Manage competitive audits of marketing, advertising and messaging to ensure we are effectively communicating against key competition.  
  • Content Creation and Production:
    • Independently manage the creation and production of internal and external-facing content, regardless of the communication channel. This could include social media copy, blog content, accompanying graphic development and other digital collateral.  
    • Coordinate with external agencies and freelance writing partners on creative and content. 
    • Deliver both long-form and real-time/short-form content, working closely with and interviewing subject matter experts.
    • Curate and develop content provided by internal departments, including (but not limited to) sales, marketing, public relations, market development, and product development.
  • Optimize and Update Existing Content:
    • Regularly review and improve existing content to ensure it remains relevant, up-to-date, and optimized for search engines and user experience.
    • Support the content review management process through coordinating on identifying stories and blog content updates in the Jira platform and managing updates in sitecore for publishing on shure.com.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field (in progress)  
  • Strong digital marketing and analytics skills  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills   
  • Comfortable being a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail  
  • Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis is required  
  • Ability to handle multiples assignments, work independently, and see projects through to successful completion 
  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics is a plus
