  • Route and secure indoor and outdoor cabling, perform wall penetrations, and mount network interface devices and optical network terminals (ONTs) as required.
  • Configure and test routers, Wi-Fi systems, video and voice equipment, and connected devices to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
  • Verify signal levels, service speeds, and overall service quality using approved testing tools and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues within residential and commercial environments, including wiring faults, signal loss, and equipment failures.
  • Document installation details, test results, and service activities using company systems, Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams), and technician field service applications.
  • Maintain clean and professional work areas by restoring surfaces, sealing penetrations, and removing installation debris.
  • Represent Vantage Point Solutions professionally when interacting with homeowners, tenants, business customers, and property managers.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices, including proper PPE use and safe ladder and tool operation.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely in compliance with company policies and traffic laws.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, travel assignments, and follow-up service visits as required.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic power tools.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft 365 applications and mobile field service apps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with fiber drops, ONTs, routers, Wi-Fi systems, and voice/video equipment.
  • Experience with in-home or business low-voltage or structured cabling.
  • Customer-facing field service experience.

Work Environment

  • Extensive travel between service locations and potential multi-day travel assignments.
  • Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, based on customer and project schedules.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. (ladders, tools, equipment).
  • Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, crawlspaces, and equipment areas.
