Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Our client is an established, privately held consumer-focused organization with operations across multiple U.S. markets. The company offers the stability of a longstanding organization combined with a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. Its marketing department functions much like an internal agency, partnering with regional business leaders and internal teams across advertising, digital, content, analytics, technology, and marketing communications. The organization places a strong emphasis on ownership, community involvement, collaboration, and long-term employee success.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Performance Marketing with a strong background in B2C performance marketing, marketing analytics, digital media, and measurement strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines sophisticated marketing analytics expertise with the ability to influence business leaders and remain actively involved in the work. This is not a traditional brand marketing position.

The successful candidate will use data and performance insights to guide significant marketing investments, evaluate media effectiveness, and help business leaders determine where and how marketing dollars should be deployed.

The role supports a multi-market organization where regional business units have responsibility for their own marketing investments while operating under one unified consumer brand. The Director will help connect those two priorities by developing performance strategies that support individual markets while maintaining consistency across the broader organization.

Experience marketing high-consideration consumer purchases is required. Relevant backgrounds may include hospitality, resorts, travel, entertainment, luxury or premium consumer products, automotive, high-end retail, or other industries where consumers make significant, research-driven purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance performance marketing strategies across multiple consumer markets.
  • Use marketing data and analytics to recommend how advertising budgets should be allocated across channels and initiatives.
  • Evaluate campaign and media effectiveness using measurement, attribution, and marketing-mix methodologies.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear recommendations for senior executives and business leaders.
  • Develop presentations and business cases that demonstrate marketing performance, opportunities, and recommended investment strategies.
  • Partner with regional leaders to understand market-specific priorities and advise them on effective use of their marketing budgets.
  • Collaborate with digital advertising, content, website, technology, analytics, and marketing communications teams.
  • Work with external media, advertising, technology, and agency partners as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve advertising effectiveness, measurement capabilities, and return on marketing investment.
  • Balance regional marketing needs with the goal of presenting one consistent brand to consumers.
  • Challenge assumptions and facilitate productive conversations about marketing strategy, performance, and spending.
  • Remain hands-on with analysis, presentations, strategy development, and problem solving rather than operating solely as a people manager.
  • Contribute to broader marketing analytics and measurement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 10–15 years of progressive experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, marketing science, media analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Significant B2C marketing experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising strategy and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience with marketing attribution, media optimization, measurement strategy, and/or marketing mix modeling.
  • Ability to analyze marketing performance and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience advising senior leaders on significant marketing investments and budget allocation.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working across multiple locations, markets, business units, or regional teams.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Comfortable partnering with both technical/data-oriented teams and business-facing marketing leaders.
  • Willingness to remain highly involved in day-to-day strategy, analytics, and deliverables.
  • Experience marketing high-consideration, premium, or complex consumer purchases strongly preferred.
  • A combination of corporate/in-house and agency experience is preferred.
  • Experience within a decentralized, franchise, multi-location, or regional operating model is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience is beneficial but is not required for candidates being considered for a remote individual-contributor structure.
