Alkami is seeking a talented professional with a passion for project management, planning, learning, and attention to detail. This position will report to a Manager of Professional Services within Alkami’s Customer Experience Group (CXG) and be responsible for assisting the entire project team in completing projects within their planned scope, schedule, and budget.
In addition, you will help establish project schedules using Jira and Smartsheet, provide reporting, collect client settings for configurations, validate configuration settings, manage progress on gap items, and deliver product implementations for our clients.
Successful candidates must have a strong sense of urgency, desire to learn and progress into project management, ownership to drive projects to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, defining deliverables based on the project scope.

  • Track and manage project milestones, customer-reported issues, and work with stakeholders to ensure resolution.

  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including meeting minutes, agendas, and other necessary documents.

  • Regularly communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment of project objectives with business goals and customer expectations.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration to enhance project outcomes.

  • Utilize project management tools and software for efficient project tracking and reporting.

  • Create and manage configuration documentation for client projects.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries regarding managed projects.

  • Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams to resolve customer-reported issues.

  • Monitor product development, track sprints, gather requirements, and provide updates to clients, third parties, internal teams, and management.

  • Provide regular feedback to the PSO management team on process improvements and best practices.

  • Track and report individual time for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with budgeted labor.

  • Host recurring customer conference calls to drive project execution and travel onsite to customer facilities as needed.

  • Participate in onboarding new Project Managers

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional growth and development

  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve project management methodologies and practices across the organization

  • Be a subject matter expert, responsible for maintaining project documentation in our Confluence space.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem-solving abilities.

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the financial services or software industry, with increasing demonstrated responsibility and success.

  • Experienced in diverse product lifecycles and integrations, including hands-on experience with key third-party vendors within major SaaS suite ecosystems.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.

  • Must be comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects (25-30+).

  • Experience managing tickets and backlog.

  • Ability to take a process and work with management to suggest modifications focusing on client satisfaction and efficiency.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to perform successfully in a high-pressure, fast-paced working environment.

  • Ability to work independently with little direction.

  • Careful attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

Desired Skills:

  • Working experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet.

  • Strong knowledge of payment networks and familiarity with payment processors and technology providers supporting end-to-end SaaS operations.

  • Implementation of APIs with third-party providers

  • Experience implementing Card Experience products

  • Previous work experience with the banking and financial industry as it relates to Internet home banking applications.

The salary range for this position is: $96,000 - $120,000 Cool Things to Know
