Job description

Description
MEORC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Coordinator to support our business operations and partner agencies. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping financial processes running smoothly-managing accounts payable, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This position goes beyond basic accounting. You'll work closely with internal teams, vendors, auditors, and county board partners to ensure compliance with funding requirements, support audits, and help deliver high-quality financial services across multiple organizations. You'll also contribute to special projects, data reporting, and Medicaid-related administrative support that directly impacts services in Ohio communities.
If you enjoy working independently, solving problems, keeping things organized, and being part of a mission-driven team that supports county boards of developmental disabilities, this is a great opportunity to grow your accounting skills while making a meaningful impact.
This is a remote position some travel may be expected to our office in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, general accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks online for business is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
• Valid Ohio Driver's license with vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
