Job description

Job Summary
With oversite and direction from the Chief Medical Officer and the Provider Services Manager, the Residency Coordinator will manage the affiliate physician residency programs and support other medical training and educational activities. They will function as the first-contact liaison for the affiliate residency program and the DAP Health clinic site. They are responsible for the daily departmental and operational management of affiliate residency programs and medical training.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Function as the first point of contact of all affiliate physician residencies and medical training programs
  • Assist the DAP Health Clinic Manager in ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Apply ACGME, other national accrediting agencies, and DAP policies to support compliance
  • Provide support to the program administrative leadership team and teaching faculty
  • Assist Program Directors to ensure resident quality improvement projects are completed
  • Work closely with clinic management to integrate resident schedules and ensure proper communication between the academic affairs office and operations
  • Coordinate resident orientation to include but not limited to physical layout of the clinic, DAP Health policies and procedures, safety/security plans, EHR training and other items as needed
  • Provide administrative support to residents as well as act as a liaison between residents and sponsoring institution administration when necessary
  • Manage the assignment of DAP Health patients to residents
  • Manage the evaluations of residents by attending physicians and maintain complete and accurate files
  • Collaborate with the People and Operations Department to ensure Resident files are compliant prior to beginning the program
  • Complete and process invoices to ensure appropriate reimbursement from affiliating institutions
  • Meet regularly with the Provider Services Manager concerning office management issues and activities and the status of projects
  • Participating in institutional, departmental, community, or national meetings as ongoing professional development and remain informed about current academic trends
  • Assist with any other tasks as assigned
