With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors-helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and maintain mission applications within Palantir Foundry and Army Vantage.
  • Develop intuitive user experiences, operational workflows, and decision-support tools using Foundry-native capabilities and custom software.
  • Build applications that use shared ontology objects, data products, and platform services.
  • Collaborate with Army users to understand mission needs, refine requirements, and incorporate feedback into working software.
  • Partner with data engineers to define application data requirements and ensure applications use trusted, authoritative data.
  • Apply modern software engineering practices, including source control, code review, automated testing, continuous delivery, and production monitoring.
  • Diagnose and resolve application performance, reliability, and usability issues.
  • Contribute to technical standards and reusable application patterns across the engineering team.
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers while remaining actively involved in development.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Six or more years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript and a framework such as React.
  • Experience integrating applications with APIs, data services, and complex enterprise data.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend development language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
  • Experience delivering secure, production-quality software using modern development and testing practices.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building applications in Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or a comparable enterprise data platform.
  • Experience with Palantir Workshop, the Ontology SDK, application programming interfaces, or other Foundry application-development capabilities.
  • Experience developing applications for logistics, supply chain, readiness, maintenance, or other operational domains.
  • Familiarity with Palantir AIP, Agent Studio, or Continue.
  • Experience with cloud-native development and DevSecOps delivery environments.
  • Experience working directly with Army mission owners and operational users.
  • Understanding of data modeling, ontology-driven development, and data-product concepts.
