Job Summary

As a Software Development Engineer/Architect, you will work with the Palantir "Foundry" Platform and other AI programming tools like Python and Typescript to build and deploy data-driven solutions across our healthcare system. You will be responsible for developing and managing data workflows, analyzing large datasets, and integrating AI and analytics solutions into real-world applications. This is a hands-on role that focuses on designing and developing applications from start to finish.  In addition, supporting ongoing development and enhancement of healthcare applications within the Palantir "Foundry" Platform.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop, optimize & rollout workflows and applications (40%)

  • Design, build, and optimize data models and workflows within Palantir to support analytics and AI-driven applications.
  • Create scalable and efficient data structures that facilitate effective data management and ensure accuracy in application outputs.
  • Put workflows and applications into production and ensure user engagement

Create and deploy end-to-end analytics applications (30%)

  • Develop and deploy comprehensive analytics and AI applications, utilizing Palantir, Python, and Typescript.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large, complex datasets to identify actionable insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to support decision-making and enhance healthcare outcomes.
  • Ensure applications integrate seamlessly into healthcare workflows, optimizing operational processes and supporting healthcare delivery.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs (20%)

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic needs, translating business concepts into actionable data insights.
  • Communicate findings and proposed solutions to technical and nontechnical teams, aligning analytics solutions with organizational goals.

Support cross-functional integration and application performance (10%)

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and healthcare professionals, to integrate data-driven solutions into existing workflows.
  • Provide technical support and continuous improvement insights to ensure successful application deployment and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or analytics roles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and Typescript for building analytics applications and managing large datasets.
  • Proven ability to translate broad business concepts into effective and scalable data solutions.
  • Experience in developing data models and performing data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, delivering impactful results while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with designing scalable and efficient analytics frameworks to support workflow applications.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms and tools, including performance optimization and data visualization tools.
  • AI and LLM Aptitude: Strong curiosity and foundational understanding of AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with a willingness to apply and deepen knowledge in these areas.
  • Experience collaborating with differing levels of leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to address strategic challenges.
  • Familiarity with AI and data science platforms such as Palantir, Dataiku, DataRobot, or similar, for developing and deploying data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, for translating complex data insights into actionable, user-friendly visuals.
  • Certification in Palantir AI platform (or the ability to obtain it within the first year of employment).
