Arc Zone Resilient Life Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our growing team. This full-time role is primarily remote, although it may involve occasional visits to our outpatient office in Huntington, New York. In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Creating and implementing pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, ensuring timely responses to patient needs.
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic methodologies to guide patient care.
• Documenting clinical notes and treatment progress in accordance with regulatory standards and timelines.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and monitor positive behavior support plans tailored to individual clients.
• Representing Arc Zone in community forums, maintaining open lines of communication with local agencies and stakeholders.
• Participating in ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences and workshops to stay informed of the latest practices in mental health care.

You will work with a diverse population of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including adults and adolescents managing stress, anxiety, and substance use disorders, as well as clients overcoming developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Your approach will emphasize empathy, understanding, and empowerment, aiming to uplift each individual towards personal growth and recovery.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field.
• An Independent LMHC License issued by the state board of New York.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience in maintaining clinical records and preparing reports.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work cohesively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities based on clinical expertise.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient counseling settings, particularly those familiar with evidence-based treatment modalities, will be viewed favorably. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and deliver culturally competent care will also enhance your application.
