POSITION:   Installer Apprentice III             


DWS ENERGY                  

Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage (new construction and operations & maintenance), building controls wiring, and electrical pre-fabrication solutions in our UL-508A certified panel shop. The organization has expanded its service offerings throughout its tenure and continues to grow at an accelerated rate.


OVERVIEW:  The Installer Apprentice III – Electrical role is responsible for taking on advanced responsibilities in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building management systems. This position is designed for individuals with substantial experience who are ready to lead tasks and mentor junior apprentices.


DUTIES:  The duties and responsibilities of the Installer Apprentice III may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead installations of building management systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Lead and perform high-level installations of electrical conduit and cables, ensuring exceptional precision, adherence to complex project specifications, and strict compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in performing electrical terminations, ensuring proper connection and functionality of wiring systems according to project submittals and safety standards
  • Diagnose complex system issues and implement effective solutions to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Level I and Level II apprentices, fostering their professional growth.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of installations, repairs, service and safety activities.
  • Assess daily material levels for project advancement.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The following are required skills and qualifications:

  • Construction industry experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in electrical systems and building management installations.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.



REQUIREMENTS:  The following are physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials.
  • Must be able to do prolonged periods of, standing, kneeling, bending
  • Must be able to work safely on a ladder.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather on job sites.
  • Ability to walk job sites for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift at least 35 lbs. solo and 50 lbs. in tandem lifts.
