Job description

At CEI Engineering, we believe that world-class parks and trails are the heartbeat of a thriving community. We are seeking a high-caliber Outdoor Recreation Project Manager to serve as a cornerstone of our Dallas office. This isn't just a management role; it is a platform for a visionary leader to define the future of the Texas landscape.

The ideal candidate is a blend of technical strategist and relationship builder-someone who possesses the "design-eye" to create sustainable outdoor spaces and the "business-mind" to expand our footprint in a competitive market. If you are a dynamic leader driven by the challenge of solving complex puzzles and inspired by the mission to enhance public life, your next chapter starts here.

ABOUT CEI ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES, INC.

Don't miss your chance to be part of an inspiring team where your contributions truly matter! Apply now and redefine your professional journey!

The compensation range provided is specific to the geographic market of the posted position. If hired as a remote employee, your salary will be aligned with the applicable compensation range for your primary remote work location.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OUTDOOR RECREATION PROJECT MANAGER

As an Outdoor Recreation Project Manager at CEI Engineering in Dallas, your day blends technical precision, strategic leadership, and real community impact. You might start your morning mentoring junior staff on Civil 3D grading plans for a new trail network, then transition into advising city officials and agency partners on entitlements, stormwater management, and grant funding strategies. By afternoon, you're out on-site in hard hat and boots, collaborating with contractors to solve complex field puzzles and ensure sustainable design standards. You wrap up the day connecting with municipal clients or shaping proposals for high-profile park developments-heading home knowing your work directly transforms the Texas landscape and elevates public life.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OUTDOOR RECREATION PROJECT MANAGER

  • Education & Licensure: A Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering with an active L.A. or P.E. license.
  • Experience: At least 3+ years in land/site development (site planning, drainage, and entitlements). Six or more years of experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, a proactive "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Logistics: A valid driver's license and the flexibility for occasional overnight travel.
  • The "Plus" Factor: Experience with government agencies, community associations, and a working knowledge of grant funding sources.

CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
