Applied Quantum Algorithms SME
The Opportunity:
Are you excited about the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by quantum information science? Are you fascinated by the possibilities presented by quantum computing and sensing advances? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve and accelerate quantum capabilities for the U.S. Government.
You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support. You'll mentor and learn from teammates, and shape research directions both with clients and through internal investments. Join us as we advance the state-of-the-art of quantum information science.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with software development
  • Experience developing and maintaining object-oriented software across multi-file codebases with interdependent modules
  • Experience developing software for cloud-based or distributed computing workflows
  • Experience with quantum algorithms, quantum software development, or quantum computing applications
  • Experience coding in Python and quantum SDKs, including Qiskit
  • Ability to adapt existing code and update downstream, files, and module dependencies to fit novel problem requirements
  • Ability to convey complex concepts, including both written and verbal, and work collaboratively with a varied audience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or CS

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in data science or computer engineering
  • Experience leading the development of technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams of scientists and engineers to execute against business plans, and managing associated resources such as hardware and funding
  • Doctorate degree in Physics, Mathematics, CS, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
