Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager for MEUS Power Semiconductor division position is responsible for training, motivating, and managing a network of manufacturers’ reps as well as direct customer support. This position will be based at a home office in the specified region with business review meetings at MEUS locations as needed. The desired candidate will be located in the region defined as covering western Pennsylvania, WV, OH, MI, IN, KY WI and IL.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and execute territory business expansion plans
  • Work in collaboration with MEUS’s B.U. Director (or other) to establish annual sales quota for region.
  • Work in close collaboration with third-party manufacturers’ reps and distributors to achieve or exceed sales plan. This entails training, motivating and providing collaborative sales support for each major account and support as needed at smaller accounts.
  • This position also required direct customer support without a representative. The RMS will handle a set of customers on a direct basis.
  • Set goals for each rep for each fiscal year which include: i) The number of new accounts to be opened, ii) The number of design-wins to be secured and iii) the amount of revenue to be achieved.
  • Develop positive customer relationships across multiple levels of our customers’ organizations from engineering to commodity management and executive management.
  • Generate monthly reports, sales reports and contact reports as requested by the Manager
  • Document design-in/win progress through use of Saleforce.com or other tracking tool
  • Work closely with our applications engineering staff in the U.S. and in Japan to support the technical needs of customers in region.
  • Based on customer needs and market trends in region, proactively provide guidance to the marketing & engineering team which could be used to drive product development roadmaps.
  • Interact professionally and positively with company’s stake holders; management, operations, product marketing, credit and engineering to create strategies and action plans to achieve business goals.
  • Negotiate NDAs and supply agreements and terms and conditions as necessary.
  • Conduct customer visits with the sales reps and other Mitsubishi personnel to establish new business opportunities and develop customer relationships at all levels.
  • Prepare reports/presentations to support business activity as required.
  • Spend approximately 25% of working time in sales-related activity, away from the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BSEE or other technical field
  • A total of at least 5 years’ experience selling semiconductor devices or other related devices either directly for an OEM, Rep or for a distributor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other business software applications (SAP, Salesforce.com, etc.).
  • Experience training, motivating, and managing a network of manufacturer’s reps and distributors.
  • Experience with multi-level selling of products to major accounts which invariably entail long design cycles.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $128,800/yr and $177,100/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
