Position Summary
Under the direction of the Research Technical Services (RTS) Manager, Comparative Medicine, this position will provide a wide array of technical support for UNMC researchers including but not limited to oversight, scheduling and maintenance of multiple surgical and imaging facilities and related equipment, monitoring inventory veterinary drugs and supplies, sterilization services, technical assistance with research procedures including anesthesia administration and monitoring, performing surgery, peri-operative services, record keeping, veterinary care, agent and drug administration, data collection, breeding colony management, technical and aseptic surgery training for UNMC research personnel, and operation of transport vehicles. This position will ensure that all projects using animals comply with USDA, IACUC and AAALAC policies and regulations.
