What is a remote Angular full stack developer?

A Remote Angular Full Stack Developer is a software professional who works from a location outside the traditional office setting and specializes in both front-end and back-end development, primarily using Angular for the client-side. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring seamless integration between the user interface and server-side logic. This role often requires proficiency in Angular, as well as backend technologies like Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks, and familiarity with databases. Remote developers collaborate with teams via online tools and communication platforms to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What are some common challenges faced by remote Angular full stack developers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Angular Full Stack Developers often encounter challenges related to communication and collaboration, especially when working with distributed teams across different time zones. Staying aligned with backend and frontend teams requires proactive communication, clear documentation, and regular virtual meetings. Additionally, managing code consistency and deployment pipelines remotely can be addressed by leveraging collaborative tools like Git, CI/CD platforms, and project management software. Staying up-to-date with evolving Angular frameworks and backend technologies is also important, often requiring dedicated time for continuous learning.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Angular full stack developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Angular Full Stack Developer, you need strong proficiency in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, back-end frameworks (like Node.js or .NET), and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, along with a degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git), cloud platforms (like AWS or Azure), and CI/CD pipelines is typically expected, and certifications in relevant technologies can be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for collaborating in distributed teams and managing remote work challenges. These skills and qualifications are essential for delivering scalable, high-quality applications while working independently and efficiently in a remote environment.

Job description

DHA Operational Medicine and Blood Management

Location: Remote | CONUS | Subject to Contract and Government requirements

Experience: 3 - 7 years

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Position Summary:

Stratitia is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to serve as a core member of an Agile team supporting the Defense Health Agency's operational medicine and blood-management software portfolio. You will translate operational needs into secure, tested software spanning user interfaces, services, data stores, and external interfaces.

Why This Role Matters:

The software supports time-sensitive donor, inventory, distribution, and transfusion workflows. Success requires more than feature delivery: the right candidate will protect traceability, transactional accuracy, system interoperability, and dependable operation when connectivity is disrupted or limited.

What You Will Do:

• Design and implement front-end and back-end components for prioritized features, enhancements, and defect corrections.

• Translate user stories, functional rules, interface specifications, and acceptance criteria into production-quality software.

• Develop and support APIs, services, data-access components, and adapters used to exchange information with external systems.

• Implement validation, auditability, error handling, and transactional controls appropriate for regulated healthcare and logistics workflows.

• Diagnose complex defects across application, database, interface, and deployment layers; provide clear root-cause analysis.

• Contribute to offline-first or limited-connectivity capabilities, including synchronization, retry, idempotency, and conflict handling.

• Create unit and integration tests, participate in peer reviews, and improve automated regression coverage.

• Estimate work, identify dependencies and technical risks, and communicate progress within Agile planning and delivery ceremonies.

• Partner with architecture, test, data, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and functional teams to move changes through release readiness.

• Maintain technical documentation, interface details, configuration records, and evidence supporting secure Government delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Three to seven years of relevant software-development experience delivering full-stack applications.

• Demonstrated proficiency in an object-oriented back-end language or runtime and a modern web user-interface framework.

• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs or other application interfaces, relational databases, SQL, source control, and automated testing.

• Experience implementing business rules, data validation, exception handling, and defect corrections from documented requirements.

• Working knowledge of secure coding, dependency management, logging, configuration management, and code-review practices.

• Ability to troubleshoot across application layers and collaborate effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Strong written communication skills for design notes, test evidence, operational impacts, and technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C#/.NET or Java; JavaScript or TypeScript; and React, Angular, Vue, or a comparable user-interface framework.

• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or another enterprise relational database, including schema changes and performance tuning.

• Experience designing synchronization, reconciliation, or resilient data-exchange workflows for disconnected or degraded networks.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability or enterprise interfaces, including REST, SOAP, messaging, file exchange, HL7 v2, or FHIR.

• Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, code-quality gates, or cloud-hosted platforms.

• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility, OWASP guidance, DoD DevSecOps, RMF/ATO, STIGs, or Government vulnerability-management processes.

• Experience with military health, blood operations, medical logistics, regulated inventory, barcode-enabled workflows, or chain-of-custody systems.

Compensation and Benefits - Competitive Salary; Paid Time Off; Medical, Dental and Vision coverage; STD + Life Insurance; 401(k) Retirement Plans with Company Match

Conditions of Employment - Employment is contingent upon Government approval, successful completion of applicable pre-employment background checks and fingerprinting, and the candidate's ability to obtain and maintain any access, credential, suitability, or security clearance, and to meet any training requirements associated with the position.

Stratitia is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law.
