• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status through structured interviews and standardized instruments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough analysis, identifying short- and long-term therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques tailored to the unique needs of clients.
• Provide ongoing support, including coping strategies and practical resources to empower clients in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation within the EHR system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and refer clients to additional healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and support groups, when necessary.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and share successful intervention strategies.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Horizon Mental Health Services, you will work with adult clients struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma-related conditions, and disordered eating patterns. Your role will be crucial in not just delivering therapeutic care but also in fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for all individuals.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience with a variety of mental health conditions.
• Robust understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong cultural competence and experience in providing therapy to diverse populations.

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting, including familiarity with virtual therapeutic practices.
• Expertise in crisis intervention techniques and management of high-risk situations.
• Ease of use with EHR software and telehealth platforms to provide efficient and compliant care.
• Proven track record of engaging effectively with clients during challenging interactions.
