Dalton Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in delivering high-quality telehealth services to clients in Naperville, Illinois. This full-time remote position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a signing bonus and an engaging work environment focused on professional growth and client well-being.

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather comprehensive information from the initial consultation through the entirety of their treatment journey.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, identifying their strengths and challenges to inform personalized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, catering to their unique situations.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to address diverse mental health issues.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Engage in follow-up communications with healthcare professionals for clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify and proactively prevent behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing clients and their families with strategies to overcome these challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges effectively.

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with a diverse client population, encompassing a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and mental health conditions. You will address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties, providing empathetic support tailored to each client's unique experiences and needs.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated previous experience as a Mental Health Counselor, preferably in a telehealth or outpatient environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document patient progress and treatment plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of emotional and behavioral health conditions, as well as knowledge regarding substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong understanding of how medications prescribed by other medical professionals may impact mental health treatment.

• Experience working within a telehealth framework, demonstrating adaptability to virtual counseling settings.
• Background in crisis intervention and immediate therapeutic techniques to support clients in distress.
