Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with patients. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to ensure we meet our patients' needs. Our use of modern telehealth platforms allows for a seamless therapeutic experience, and you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' experiences, crafting individualized treatment plans based on their needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to each patient's cultural and personal background, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, facilitating comfort, expression, and recovery for patients facing a variety of mental health concerns.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and medical professionals to coordinate care and establish an integrated treatment approach.
• Respond to mental health crises and emergencies, delivering immediate support and intervention when necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and the resources available within the community to foster a supportive recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
• Take part in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions to enhance cultural competency and teamwork.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Prime Psychiatry, your primary focus will be on servicing a diverse range of clients, particularly individuals from marginalized communities. You'll encounter patients from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants, providing you the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to their mental health journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current licensure in Texas as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Strong commitment to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with diverse populations, especially within multicultural settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions and crisis management techniques.
• Experience in collaborative environments with a multidisciplinary team approach.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
