Job description

This is a remote role within the United States.

A Day in the Life

  • Technical Ownership: Act as the technical anchor for major initiatives in your team’s domain owing the technical approach and accountable for delivery.
  • Code Excellence: Set the benchmark for the team with clean, maintainable, highly performant code. Lead constructive code reviews that raise the technical floor of the whole team.
  • Observability First: Own the production health of your team’s domain. Build and maintain Datadog dashboards and monitors tracking SLOs/SLIs and drive rapid incident response.
  • Test and Learn: Design and manage A/B tests using Eppo and make experimentation a default part of how your team ships — helping the team iterate on real customer data.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, UX, and cross-team stakeholders to shape business requirements into technical design docs and actionable tickets.
  • Momentum: We work in short cycles, code released in days, experiments read out weekly, priorities adjusting as results come in. You anchor initiatives that ship at this rhythm and make the speed sustainable — for the codebase and for the engineers learning from you.
  • Mentorship: Provide consistent technical guidance to earlier-career engineers, helping them navigate complex integrations (e.g., Salesforce) and grow their scope.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Stack Delivery: Develop end-to-end solutions across our stack (React, TypeScript, Kotlin, Spring Boot) with a focus on modularity and system resilience.
  • Operational Ownership: Lead the path to production for your team — owning infrastructure, keeping Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines efficient, and making deployments seamless.
  • System Integration: Own technical integrations between web applications and core platforms such as Salesforce CDP, Snowflake, and CMSs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in how the team delivers software; improve technical design processes and engineering documentation.
  • Application Quality: Raise the overall quality bar of your team's applications by reducing bugs, errors, and performance regressions while sustaining feature delivery.

Our Tech Stack

  • Front-end: React, Vite, Next.js, TypeScript.
  • Back-end: Kotlin, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (Kubernetes, Functions, Front Door), Docker, Helm.
  • Data & Analytics: Snowflake, Salesforce CDP.
  • Experimentation & Observability: Eppo, Datadog.
  • DevOps: Azure DevOps (ADO), Pipelines.
  • AI Tooling: Cursor, Claude.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of owning and delivering complex, consumer-facing applications end to end.
  • Full-Stack Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in React/TypeScript and modern back-end languages (Kotlin, Java, C#, etc.).
  • Cloud Fluency: Solid experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred), including microservices and RESTful API design.
  • Testing & Quality: Strong commitment to automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and a “shift-left” approach to security and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Snowflake data integrations and data-warehouse-native experimentation.
  • Proficiency in Datadog for RUM, APM, and log management.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem integrations.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered product features (chat, search, or agent-platform integrations).
  • Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Cursor).
