Job Description

The Solutions Consultant is responsible for bridging product capabilities, technology, and customer needs within PSD Citywide’s enterprise solutions. This role partners closely with Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to support clients throughout the pre-sales process, including discovery, solution alignment, and product demonstrations.


As a key contributor to the sales cycle, the Solutions Consultant helps prospective customers understand how the platform addresses their business requirements, translating complex concepts into clear, value-driven insights. They act as a central liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring requirements are accurately captured and effectively communicated. The role also includes supporting proposal development, providing customer feedback to inform product evolution, and enhancing overall product knowledge across the organization. This is a Full Time Remote position, the successful candidate must live in Canada. Expected travel is approximately 30–40% throughout North America.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner closely with Sales throughout the sales cycle to understand customer needs, challenges, and priorities within a public-sector context.
  • Lead and deliver tailored, high-impact product demonstrations to prospective clients, clearly articulating how the platform supports municipal operations and drives operational improvements.
  • Own and continuously improve demo environments and materials, ensuring they reflect real-world use cases, current product enhancements, and strong presentation storytelling.
  • Support solution discussions by leveraging knowledge of local government operations and implementation approaches, helping position practical and effective solutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between Sales, Product, and internal teams to ensure customer requirements, feedback, and product updates are clearly communicated and aligned.
  • Support RFP and procurement processes by reviewing responses, understanding submitted content, and confidently presenting solutions during evaluation stages.
  • Develop and deliver customer-facing materials, including presentations for stakeholder meetings, evaluations, and executive discussions.
  • Provide ongoing enablement and training to Sales and Customer Success teams, translating product updates and enhancements into clear, usable knowledge.
  • Participate in webinars, events, and user sessions to support awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support a seamless sales experience and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer or Implementation Specialist, or similar.
  • Direct experience working within local government or the broader public sector is required.
  • This position requires travel to client locations within Canada and the United States; requiring a valid driver's license, Canadian passport and the ability to travel internationally. 
  • Experience with delivering demos, client discussions, or solution presentations, with the ability to connect product capabilities to real-world use cases.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or implementing solutions within a municipal environment is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of municipal operations and the ability to clearly articulate how technology supports operational improvement and service delivery.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a public-sector setting.
  • Experience with platforms such as EAM or similar municipal solutions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, including RFPs, is an asset.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to build credibility with public-sector stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support client and sales activities.
