Job description

Position Overview

This multi-faceted position is responsible for all aspects of cabinet delivery in accordance with Boise River Cabinets (BRC) specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for the delivery of all finished BRC products to include all warranty and re-work items.

· Responsible for the safe staging of installation items in order to maximize cabinet installer efficiency.

· Responsible for all final quality control checks and required paperwork prior to loading products for delivery.

· Immediately report quality control issues with detailed documentation to the Delivery Lead in order to correct deficiency before installation.

· Provide excellent customer service centered around building positive partnerships and working collaboratively with other trade partners.

· Proactively communicate with Delivery Lead on delivery and installation timelines in order to maintain efficient project scheduling.

· Immediately communicate job site conditions and/or concerns that affect completion of projects to the Delivery Lead.

· Complete and upload pictures and any problems you come across on Basecamp. (internal documentation app)

· When time permits, cross train in different areas in the shop to increase knowledge and be part of the TEAM!

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED. Some college is a plus.

· Reliable transportation

· Must have a valid Idaho Driver’s License and clean driving record.

· Minimum of 2 years of delivery experience

· Able to read a tape measure to 1/16”.

· Possess excellent organization and multi-tasking skills; must demonstrate ability to manage several activities simultaneously, organize/prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines.

· Solutions oriented thinker.

· Able to remain calm and clear-headed.

· Able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.

· Must be able to manage time effectively.

· Must be attention to detail oriented.

· Must be able to pass a background check.

· General knowledge of cabinet construction and manufacturing processes is a plus.

· General knowledge of plastic laminates, veneers and melamine is a plus.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly articulate standards and expectations.

· Skilled in building positive partnerships and working collaboratively with other shop leads.

· Promotion of teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation.

· Ability to read and comprehend architectural and shop drawings and technical specifications required.

· Basic computer skills are required.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands

· Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)

· Occasional lifting from 41 lbs.+, assisted (up to 50% of the time)

· Access and mobility in tight spaces

· Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically

· Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending and kneeling

Schedule

· The Delivery Assistant is a full-time, hourly position. Standard 40-hour work week, plus overtime, as required.

· Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday 7:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.

· Some extra hours on Fridays, as required

· Some Saturdays, as required
