Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data and Analytics Intern to support the development of scalable data structures, reporting solutions, and data-intake processes within a growing Fortune 500 organization. The intern will work with global operations data, help transform information from multiple sources into analysis-ready datasets, and support reporting for key performance indicators. This role provides hands-on experience in data engineering, business intelligence, operations management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, technically curious, and capable of solving problems with increasing independence.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build standardized data structures and intake processes that support future data-lake, automation, and analytics capabilities.
  • Use Python, SQL, and Excel to collect, clean, transform, validate, and consolidate data from multiple business sources.
  • Analyze operational KPIs and SIOP-related metrics to identify trends, data-quality issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop or enhance Power BI reports and other analytical tools used to support operational and leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify reporting gaps and inefficiencies in existing business processes.
  • Prepare clear summaries and presentations that communicate analytical findings and recommended actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation covering data sources, transformation logic, reporting processes, data lineage, and quality controls.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, or similar data-manipulation libraries.
  • Foundational understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data-modeling concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or similar data-pipeline and cloud-data platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including structured tables, data validation, named ranges, and form design.
  • Experience developing reports or dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Exposure to data-intake, workflow-automation, or form-based data-collection processes.
  • Basic understanding of data-governance principles, including data quality, documentation, ownership, and lineage.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, or other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a global business environment.
Physical and Environmental Demands
  • No special physical requirements beyond those associated with a standard office or remote-working environment.
