Job Title: Associate - Strategic Source to Contract
Location: Remote

We are seeking a Strategic Source to Contract Associate to join our team and contribute to a client sourcing service delivery team, managing the development and execution of sourcing projects of various complexity levels. The Sourcing Associate is responsible for executing simple to complex sourcing projects, from start to finish, including but not limited to – validating sourcing requests per client guidelines, analyzing requirements for the bid packages, communicating with client requesters to close any data gaps, preparing and publishing the package to the identified suppliers for bidding purposes, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, analyzing and summarizing proposals, coordinating evaluation of suppliers and facilitating decision makings. The ideal candidate will possess Source to Contract experience and skills: negotiation of contracts, process project management, effective communication skills. This person should also be self driven, independent, resourceful and adaptive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic sourcing services (RFP, RFI, RFQ) to our clients based on predefined service levels, managing several simple and/or intermediate projects simultaneously.
  • Support teammates on various sourcing activities as assigned (e.g., RFx development, NDA management, spend data analysis, and proposal summarization).
  • Once a project request is received - recognize if there are missing requirements, perform due diligence and validation, follow up with the requestor to obtain further project details, and answer any process related questions/status. 
  • Gather and summarize bid requirements, prepare bid package and publish them to suppliers using an eSourcing tool.
  • Follow instructions contained in a category strategy card and other available Intellectual Capital (IC) regarding which suppliers to use and how to obtain quotes/proposals.
  • Research and identify suppliers as required (i.e., supplier discovery). o Analyze proposals submitted, prepare summaries, and present back to the client in a concise manner.
  • Project documentation (e.g., creating project folders, spend and savings documentation and validation, status updates).
  • May participate in peer reviews for other team member’s projects and check for quality, consistency, and compliance with WNS Procurement methodology and client specific requirements.
  • May also support the delivery of other WNS Procurement and sourcing services including spend analysis, supplier performance management, and contract administration.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications ✅ Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in related field and at least 6 years of experience in procurement and sourcing
  • Deep understanding of at least two sourcing categories and a good understanding of an additional 5-10 categories (e.g. pricing structures, terminology, bidding sheet development expertise, cost structure, key vendors, etc.)

Additional Information

Compensation Disclosure

The base salary range for this position is $75K - $90K annually. This range reflects the base pay that we reasonably expect to offer for the role across our hiring locations.

Final compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to:

  • Geographic location (state and city of residence)
  • Overall professional experience
  • Directly relevant experience
  • Education and certifications
  • Industry knowledge and expertise
  • Skills and competencies

In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses, or incentive pay, or commissions, which are not included in the listed base salary range.
