These traders develop, test, and deploy automated trading strategies that analyze market data and make buy or sell decisions with minimal human intervention. The remote aspect allows for flexible work environments while still participating in fast-paced global markets. They may work independently or for trading firms, hedge funds, or financial institutions.

Remote algorithmic traders often face challenges such as maintaining reliable access to market data, ensuring secure and low-latency connectivity, and managing time zone differences with team members or markets. To address these, traders typically invest in robust internet infrastructure, use VPNs or dedicated trading servers, and establish clear communication protocols with their teams. Additionally, regular collaboration through virtual meetings and documentation helps ensure alignment and quick problem-solving despite physical distance.

About Keyrock

Since our beginnings in 2017, we've grown to be a leading change-maker in the digital asset space, renowned for our partnerships and innovation.

Today, we rock with over 200 team members around the world. Our diverse team hails from 42 nationalities, with backgrounds ranging from DeFi natives to PhDs. Predominantly remote, we have hubs in London, Brussels, Singapore and Paris, and host regular online and offline hangouts to keep the crew tight.

We are trading on more than 80 exchanges, and working with a wide array of asset issuers. As a well-established market maker, our distinctive expertise led us to expand rapidly. Today, our services span market making, options trading, high-frequency trading, OTC, and DeFi trading desks as well as digital asset management. Keyrock is looking to expand and establish itself as a full-service financial institution through both organic innovation and inorganic growth.

But we’re more than a service provider. We’re an initiator. We're pioneers in adopting the Rust Development language for our algorithmic trading systems, and champions of its use in the industry. We support the growth of Web3 startups through our Accelerator Program. We upgrade ecosystems by injecting liquidity into promising DeFi, RWA, and NFT protocols. And we push the industry's progress with our research and governance initiatives.

At Keyrock, we're not just envisioning the future of digital assets. We're actively building it.

Mission statement

Build and scale Keyrock’s US commercial presence by originating, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships with foundations, token issuers, ecosystem treasuries, and institutional digital-asset players.

You’ll drive the expansion of Keyrock’s US client base, position our liquidity, derivatives, and structured solutions, and help define the commercial strategy for the largest market in crypto. This will be done in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Sales and the Chief Commercial Officer, ensuring alignment between global capabilities and US-market needs.

Job description

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Build and grow Keyrock’s US presence with a strong focus on foundations, token issuers, L1s/L2s, and ecosystem treasuries.

  • Originate and qualify high-value opportunities across the entire token lifecycle: pre-TGE advisory, launch market making, OTC solutions, and post-listing liquidity programs.

  • Lead client conversations with founders, investors, core teams, and boards — positioning Keyrock’s liquidity, derivatives, and product capabilities.

Commercial Execution & Structuring Interface

  • Translate client needs into actionable commercial proposals that leverage Keyrock’s full offering:
market making, derivatives, structured products, treasury management, tokenomic advisory.

  • Work closely with Structuring, Trading, Risk, and Product to ensure commercial proposals are feasible, underwritten correctly, and aligned with risk frameworks.

  • Support pricing, modeling inputs, and scenario framing for US-driven opportunities.

US Franchise Building

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Head of Corporate Sales and the CCO to develop Keyrock’s US commercial roadmap, priorities, and client segmentation.

  • Shape and implement US go-to-market processes, CRM discipline, and reporting structures.

  • Represent Keyrock at US conferences, industry events, and protocol-specific gatherings to expand visibility and pipeline.

Internal Evangelization & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Communicate US market trends, ecosystem signals, and competitive intelligence to global product, trading, and commercial teams.

  • Act together with the Head of Corporate Sales as the primary commercial US liaison for internal stakeholders: Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Product — ensuring alignment and shortening review cycles.

  • Support internal adoption of best practices, documentation standards, and commercial templates relevant to the US regulatory climate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed US-market insights into product roadmap and new service development.

  • Partner with Trading and Risk to align pricing, liquidity parameters, and margin frameworks for US-originated opportunities.

  • Support the evolution of our internal governance, commercial SLAs, and client-delivery standards in coordination with global leadership.

Entrepreneurial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Operate with the autonomy and responsibility of an entrepreneurial leader building a franchise from the ground up.

  • Help define hiring needs for future US team expansion and contribute to onboarding and mentoring future commercial colleagues.

  • Manage multi-stakeholder commercial projects with structure, rigor, and strong follow-through.

Background and experience

  • 8+ years of business development or institutional sales experience in digital assets, trading firms, investment banking, structured products, or financial markets.

  • Strong knowledge of derivatives, options, liquidity provision, and tokenomics.
Demonstrated success in originating and closing complex commercial partnerships.

  • Deep familiarity with the US crypto ecosystem: foundations, issuers, VCs, exchanges, and infra.

  • Structured, disciplined, and organized working approach; strong project-management ability.
Entrepreneurial experience or builder mindset strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel globally for conferences, meetings, and ecosystem events.

  • Based out of NYC

Our recruitment philosophy

We value self-awareness and powerful communication skills in our recruitment process. We seek fiercely passionate people who understand themselves and their career goals. We're after those with the right skills and a conscious choice to join our field. The perfect fit? A crypto enthusiast who’s driven, collaborative, acts with ownership and delivers solid, scalable outcomes.

Our offer

  • A competitive salary package circa $175-250k + expected 100% OTE

  • Autonomy in your time management thanks to flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely

  • The freedom to create your own entrepreneurial experience by being part of a team of people in search of excellence

As an employer we are committed to building a positive and collaborative work environment. We welcome employees of all backgrounds, and hire, reward and promote entirely based on merit and performance.

Due to the nature of our business and external requirements, we perform background checks on all potential employees, passing which is a prerequisite to join Keyrock.
