Department Overview:

Schedule:
10 hr/week. Ideally hybrid with the ability to be on site for in-studio work as well as the option to work remotely for appropriate tasks such as editing.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled as a student majoring in a relevant field such as Communication Arts, Radio/TV/Film, Photography, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• Strong passion for media production and a desire to expand skills in video, photography, and multimedia content creation.
• Familiarity with video editing software.
• Basic knowledge of video and audio equipment and their operation in a studio setting.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic studio environment.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Interns will have the opportunity to leave the experience with a Digital Portfolio/Reel of their work. This may include:
• Testimonial/lecture recordings in the studio (i.e. talking head)
• Green screen (chroma key) editing
• Key frame animations/effects (i.e. blurred wings)
• Closed captioning
• B-roll (i.e. campus, interior/exterior footage)
• Photography stills (i.e. headshots, subject and landscape)
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Assist in Video Production:
• Collaborate with the production team in planning and executing video shoots.
• Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices during video recording sessions.
• Assist with setting up studio space.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and organized.
Editing and Post-Production:
• Edit and assemble video footage using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
• Enhance video and audio quality, add graphics, text, and effects as needed.
• Contribute to the development of engaging and informative multimedia content.
Qualifications:
