Sr. Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team and help advance our modern data and analytics ecosystem. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable data solutions in Snowflake, enabling high-quality reporting, analytics, and emerging AI-driven capabilities. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and analytics teams to deliver trusted, actionable insights while contributing to our transition toward modern, cloud-based BI and AI-enabled decisioning. This role may be filled at the Developer, Sr. Developer, or Lead Developer based on experience.

Please Note:  If the selected candidate for this role lives within a 50 mile radius of our home office located in Omaha, NE, there will be a one day per week in-office requirement on Wednesday of each week.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Business Intelligence Developer: $75,500 - $97,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Sr. Business Intelligence Developer: $86,000 - $114,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Lead Business Intelligence Developer:  $99,000 - $133,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models and datasets in Snowflake to support reporting and analytics. 
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and transformations to ensure high data quality, performance, and scalability. 
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, reusable data products that support multiple downstream use cases .
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders to enable reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and emerging analytics tools). 
  • Support data governance and standardization practices, including definitions, lineage, and quality controls. 
  • Contribute to modern BI architecture efforts, including migration from legacy platforms.
  • Explore and support AI enablement use cases, such as: 
    • Semantic layer optimization for AI consumption. 
    • Conversational analytics capabilities.
    • Data readiness for machine learning / AI solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience developing in Snowflake (data modeling, SQL development, performance tuning). 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques. 
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures. 
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. 
  • Experience developing and supporting BI/reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and emerging analytics tools). 
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders on data consumption, data literacy, and analytics adoption. 
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Familiarity with: 
    • Semantic modeling and data product design.
    • Conversational analytics tools (e.g., Power BI Copilot, Snowflake Cortex, Sigma Agents). 
    • Python or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
