We are sharing a specialised full-time consulting opportunity for US-based project coordinators with experience supporting AI training-data programmes, cross-functional operations, expert teams, and complex data-driven workflows.
This role supports a high-impact generative AI initiative focused on coordinating AI research and data operations. Selected professionals will serve as the operational link between programme leadership and domain experts, translate evolving requirements into clear instructions, monitor project delivery, support onboarding, and help maintain quality across growing AI data workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Data Project Coordination

  • Coordinate activities between programme leads, researchers, product partners, and domain experts
  • Maintain clear ownership, schedules, priorities, dependencies, and delivery expectations
  • Identify operational gaps and help keep project workflows running smoothly
Guideline & Programme Communication
  • Translate leadership inputs and programme requirements into clear instructions for expert teams
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of project guidelines
  • Communicate updates, process changes, quality expectations, and operational decisions
  • Ensure contributors understand current priorities and escalation pathways
Expert Onboarding & Team Support
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new experts as programme capacity expands
  • Respond to operational questions and direct complex issues to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Help coordinate large, distributed, and cross-functional contributor groups
  • Lead project calls or team discussions when required
Quality, Reporting & Issue Resolution
  • Monitor project deliverables, completion status, quality signals, and operational risks
  • Identify recurring quality issues and assist with root-cause analysis
  • Flag potential roadblocks early and coordinate appropriate follow-up
  • Participate in weekly business reviews and maintain organised notes, decisions, and action items
  • Track programme data using Google Sheets, Excel, SQL, or related tools
Ideal Profile Strong candidates may have:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in project coordination, project management, programme operations, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience supporting AI training-data, human-data, annotation, evaluation, or model-development programmes
  • Experience coordinating large, cross-functional, or distributed teams
  • Strong data-management skills using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of coding and technical project environments
  • Previous people-management experience or demonstrated ability to lead large groups effectively
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly as project requirements, priorities, and workflows evolve
  • Current residence in the United States
Educational Background
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, information systems, or another STEM field is strongly preferred
  • Education in project management, business operations, analytics, or a related discipline may also be relevant
  • Equivalent professional experience coordinating technical or data-intensive programmes may be considered
  • Project-management certifications or formal training may strengthen an application
Nice to Have
  • Experience coordinating AI or data programmes within a major technology company
  • Background as an engineering programme manager, project lead, team lead, or expert contributor
  • Familiarity with generative AI, reinforcement learning from human feedback, model evaluation, or data annotation
  • Experience preparing operational dashboards, trackers, quality reports, or executive updates
  • Knowledge of SQL-based reporting and basic scripting or coding workflows
  • Experience facilitating weekly business reviews and managing action-item follow-through
  • Previous collaboration with research, product, engineering, data science, and operations teams
  • Familiarity with onboarding and supporting subject matter experts across multiple domains
Why This Opportunity
  • Apply project-coordination expertise to an advanced generative AI initiative
  • Support complex data operations involving research teams and domain specialists
  • Influence the quality, consistency, and delivery of AI training-data programmes
  • Work across operational planning, contributor support, quality analysis, and programme communication
  • Join a full-time remote engagement with competitive hourly compensation
Contract Details
  • Full-time W-2 contingent employment arrangement
  • Fully remote role available to candidates based in the United States
  • Competitive rates between $40-$65 per hour depending on expertise and project scope
  • Applicants should have direct experience supporting AI, data, or human-feedback programmes
