Compensation:

USD $250,000–350,000 Total Compensation Overview We are seeking an AI Agentic Developer to build and deploy next-generation AI agents focused on equity investing, research automation, and data intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with investment professionals to develop autonomous systems capable of sourcing, cleaning, structuring, analysing, and synthesising large volumes of financial and alternative data. This role is particularly well-suited to candidates with experience in long/short equity, long-only asset management, equity research, or quantitative investing who have subsequently developed strong AI engineering capabilities. Hands-on experience with Claude Code is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Design and develop AI agents to automate investment research workflows. Build autonomous systems capable of gathering, cleaning, validating, and structuring financial and alternative datasets. Develop agentic workflows for company research, earnings analysis, market intelligence, expert network transcripts, filings, news, and alternative data. Create AI-powered tools that assist portfolio managers and analysts in idea generation, monitoring, and decision‐making.

Build data pipelines for ingesting and normalising large structured and unstructured datasets. Implement retrieval, memory, reasoning, and tool‐calling frameworks to improve agent performance. Develop internal research copilots and knowledge management systems. Collaborate directly with investment teams to identify high‐value automation opportunities. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and implement best practices across the research platform.

Requirements

Mandatory Strong hands‐on experience with Claude Code . Experience building AI agents, autonomous workflows, or LLM‐powered applications. Experience working with financial, market, or alternative datasets. Strong data engineering and data‐cleaning capabilities. Experience building data pipelines and handling large datasets. Understanding of retrieval systems, vector databases, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.

Ability to work independently in a fast‐paced environment. Highly Preferred Experience within a Long/Short Equity , Long‐Only Equity , Equity Research, Asset Management, Hedge Fund, or Investment Banking environment. Understanding of fundamental equity research processes. Familiarity with financial statements, earnings releases, SEC filings, valuation methodologies, and investment workflows. Experience supporting portfolio managers, analysts, or investment teams. Exposure to quantitative research, alternative data, or systematic investing.
