The Spend Agent Developer will help translate business and operational requirements into practical agent workflows, system integrations, and automation capabilities. This role requires strong hands-on development skills, attention to production quality, and the ability to support and improve spend-related agent experiences after release.

This role is intended for an execution-focused developer who can contribute to implementation, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of spend agent capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Build and support AI-enabled spend agent workflows across purchasing, procurement, invoice, PO, vendor, and approval processes.

  • Partner with product, AI Platform, QA/Eval, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Support teams to deliver spend agent functionality with quality and reliability.
  • Assist with monitoring, debugging, regression testing, release readiness, and post-release issue resolution.
  • Translate business process requirements into practical technical solutions and production-ready agent workflows.
  • Identify recurring spend management patterns that may be improved through automation, reusable workflows, or platform capabilities.
  • Support escalations and continuous improvement for live spend agent experiences.

  • Ability to integrate services, tools, data sources, or business systems into reliable workflow experiences.
  • Familiarity with procurement, finance, invoice, PO, vendor, approval, or spend management processes is preferred.
  • Comfort working with product managers, operations teams, QA/Eval, platform engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong implementation discipline around testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and production support.
  • Interest in AI agents, workflow automation, LLM-powered products, applied AI systems, or business process automation.
  • Clear communication around delivery status, issues, risks, and support needs.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a practical, detail-oriented developer who can turn spend management requirements into reliable agent workflows. They are comfortable working across technical and business teams, understand the importance of accuracy in financial and procurement processes, and can support production experiences with strong follow-through.

Why This Role Matters

Spend Agent capacity is important to improving operational efficiency, reducing manual effort, supporting procurement and finance workflows, and increasing reliability across purchasing, invoice, PO, and vendor-related processes.
