You will serve clients through a user-friendly platform designed as your online private practice, facilitating live therapeutic sessions via video chat and written messaging. As a Mental Health Therapist with Zen Mind, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with clients through secure video conferencing.
• Encouraging patients to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering a supportive environment for personal growth.
• Assisting clients in setting realistic and achievable therapeutic goals, tailoring treatment plans to meet their unique needs.
• Identifying obstacles that hinder recovery and formulating strategies to overcome these challenges.
• Providing guidance on healthy coping mechanisms and skills to manage stress and emotional distress.
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment approaches to ensure effectiveness.

Your clients will primarily consist of stable adults seeking help for various emotional and psychological challenges. All clients are pre-screened to ensure they are suitable for telehealth services, allowing you to focus on clients with the right fit for your therapeutic style. This role gives you the opportunity to work with a diverse population, helping those who may not have access to traditional therapy or prefer the flexibility of remote sessions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• At least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in working with mood disorders.

While two years of experience is a minimum requirement, candidates with expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be highly regarded. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and collaboration with psychiatrists is advantageous, as you will work alongside other professionals when necessary.
