Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, working from the comfort of your own home while utilizing telehealth platforms to connect with patients. Our work schedule typically ranges from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Some evening shifts may be required, allowing you to tailor your work hours to provide essential care when your patients need it the most.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand the unique needs, goals, and challenges of each individual seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Lead individual counseling sessions and facilitate group therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment for sharing experiences and developing coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, cohesive care for our patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during moments of substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and direction.
  • Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery resources, and strategies for maintaining long-term wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation following legal and ethical guidelines, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient data management.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and shared expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will work with a diverse range of patients, from those in early recovery to those facing the lingering challenges of addiction. Your ability to connect empathetically with patients and their families will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment that encourages healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • In-depth understanding of substance use disorders and knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, as well as recovery-oriented care.
  • Previous experience delivering both individual and group therapy in addiction treatment settings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy, respect, and professionalism.
