Work Environment

Working in a fully remote telehealth setting, our Mental Health Therapist will leverage advanced communication tools to connect with patients. Our work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders to identify their specific needs and recovery goals.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient’s circumstances.
• Deliver individual counseling sessions, employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate personal growth and recovery.
• Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions where patients can share experiences and learn from one another in a supportive atmosphere.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and fellow therapists to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals during emergencies related to substance use.
• Educate patients and their families about the recovery process, offering strategies and resources that can facilitate lasting change.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to best practices.
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with trends in addiction treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders, providing care to a diverse clientele ranging from young adults to older adults. Recognizing that substance use impacts individuals from all walks of life, therapists will be prepared to address the unique challenges faced by each individual, ensuring that treatment respects their background and personal history.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of practice.
• Strong understanding of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy specifically within the context of addiction treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and requisite computer applications.
• A capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health counseling, specifically related to substance use disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage evidence-based practices to foster positive patient outcomes.
• Experience working in telehealth settings is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
