Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Pro Mental Balance Advocate, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves providing vital mental health services to clients in a remote detox center setting. As an LCSW, you will bring your expertise and compassion to support individuals overcoming substance use disorders and mental health challenges, contributing to their recovery journey and overall well-being.

About the Organization

Pro Mental Balance Advocate, Inc. is committed to fostering mental wellness through comprehensive and empathetic healthcare services. Our institution prioritizes the mental health of our clients, ensuring they have access to high-quality care in a supportive and safe environment. We offer innovative approaches to mental health treatment, focusing on individualized care that addresses the unique needs of each client.

Work Environment

This full-time position is designed to be entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to provide care from your home or other convenient locations. You will be part of a collaborative mental health team, engaging in regular virtual meetings and utilizing telehealth platforms to connect with clients and coordinate care. Our detox center, while remote, is integrated into a wider network of health professionals dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for clients, taking into account their personal history, substance use backgrounds, and current psychological issues to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy, to address mental health concerns and promote recovery.
  • Facilitate both one-on-one and group therapy sessions aiming to enhance emotional regulation, coping strategies, and personal development among clients.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and addiction specialists, to create comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and immediate mental health support as needed, ensuring clients receive prompt and effective care in urgent situations.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and communications to ensure a seamless flow of information.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve individuals in a detox center who are grappling with substance use disorders alongside any co-occurring mental health conditions. This population often faces complex challenges that require a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, and your expertise will be critical in helping them gain stability and hope as they work towards recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a preference for applicants who have worked in mental health or addiction settings.
  • Proficiency in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
  • Experience in administering both individual and group therapy, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills; ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with diverse clients.
  • Understanding of EHR systems and strong computer skills are essential.
  • A collaborative approach, capable of working well within a team environment alongside various healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a remote or telehealth capacity, familiar with the tools and platforms for virtual therapy.
  • Specific training or experience in addiction counseling techniques and models.
  • Knowledge of community resources for substance abuse and mental health support services.
Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health and wellness.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you plan for the future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage to safeguard your practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education opportunities and support for certification and professional development.
  • Options for career advancement within our organization, recognizing your growth and contributions.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes teamwork and mutual respect.
