JUNIOR CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Focus: VA acquisition support, VAAR familiarity

Role Summary

Entry‑level Contract Specialist providing administrative and technical acquisition support for VA contracting actions. Works under close supervision and supports mid‑level and senior specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with acquisition planning, market research, and documentation preparation using VA templates.

  • Draft basic components of PWS/SOW, IGCE inputs, and solicitation packages.

  • Support evaluation activities: tracking submissions, organizing documentation, preparing templates.

  • Assist with post‑award actions: modifications, funding documents, performance tracking, and closeout.

  • Maintain compliance with FAR, VAAR, VHA PM, and PWS requirements.

Required Experience
  • 0–2 years federal contracting experience; VA experience preferred.
