As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application's functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you use your operations and maintenance skills to ensure that things run smoothly. We're looking for an experienced software sustainment engineer like you to apply your knowledge to our clients' challenges and their legacy enterprise systems.
As a software sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you'll have an operational impact from day one. With a team of professionals, you'll maintain applications and keep systems working. You and your team will use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain the applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements.
Most importantly, you'll advise our clients on the best ways to improve and modernize the existing systems. Work with us to help us secure crucial systems while watching them grow and modernize.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and sustainment roles, including enterprise application development and sustainment following SDLC processes
  • 6+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Based Solution and .NET or C# development including any combination of ASPX, WCF, or REST APIs
  • Experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks using JavaScript framework such as Java or AngularJS
  • Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
  • Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of CI/CD using Git and Gitlab
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to debug and troubleshoot software issues with minimal assistance
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience administering Windows servers and Internet Information Systems
  • Knowledge of relational databases and search engines including Oracle and Solr
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment and balance long- and short-term taskings
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
