Job description

We are a growing residential remodeling and new construction company seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee kitchen renovations and residential construction projects from initial consultation through final completion.

This role combines client relationship management with construction project management. You'll work directly with homeowners to understand their vision, accurately assess existing conditions, develop project scopes, coordinate construction activities, and ensure every project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to our quality standards.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people just as much as managing construction projects. You are organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable making decisions in the field while maintaining excellent communication with clients, subcontractors, and the office team.

This position offers significant opportunity for advancement as our company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with homeowners to discuss kitchen remodeling and residential construction projects.
  • Measure existing spaces using tape measures and laser measuring equipment.
  • Evaluate existing conditions and identify potential construction challenges.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and document project requirements.
  • Coordinate project schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Communicate project progress and expectations with homeowners throughout construction.
  • Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with designers, installers, vendors, and office staff to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation using Microsoft Office and project management software.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing residential remodeling or new construction projects.
  • Kitchen remodeling experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and accurately measure residential spaces.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working both in an office environment and at active construction sites.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CAD, Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or similar architectural software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role:

The right person is a strong communicator who builds trust with homeowners while confidently managing multiple projects. You are detail-oriented, solution-focused, and comfortable balancing client expectations with construction realities. You take ownership of your projects, anticipate challenges before they become problems, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.
