Project Manager
Nova Design Build | High-End Residential Remodeling & Design-Build

Position Overview
Nova Design Build is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-end residential remodeling and design-build projects from preconstruction through completion. This position is ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, understands that details matter, and can confidently manage the many moving parts of a complex construction project.

Our project managers are responsible for ensuring projects are executed with precision, organization, quality, and exceptional client communication. The right candidate will have strong construction knowledge, excellent critical-thinking skills, and the integrity to always do what is right for the project and the client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage residential remodeling projects from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, schedules, inspections, and project logistics.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure work stays on track.
  • Review plans, specifications, selections, and scopes of work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand construction processes and identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Perform regular site visits and maintain high standards for workmanship, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with homeowners, designers, subcontractors, and the internal team.
  • Coordinate with the design team to ensure the construction process accurately reflects the approved design.
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, purchase orders, and costs.
  • Anticipate project challenges and develop practical solutions using strong critical-thinking skills.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and keep project information organized and up to date.
  • Hold subcontractors and trade partners accountable to Nova's standards.
  • Oversee quality control throughout every phase of construction.
  • Manage client expectations and provide a professional, positive experience throughout the project.
  • Conduct project closeouts, punch lists, and warranty follow-up.

What We're Looking For:
High Integrity
You do what you say you will do. You are honest, accountable, and willing to have difficult conversations when necessary. You put the client's best interest and the quality of the project ahead of taking shortcuts.

High-End Remodeling Experience
Experience managing high-end residential remodeling, additions, renovations, or custom homes is strongly preferred. You understand the level of detail, craftsmanship, coordination, and client expectations required in premium residential construction.

Construction Knowledge
You have a strong understanding of residential construction processes, including sequencing, framing, mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, drywall, trim, cabinetry, flooring, finishes, and other major phases of construction.

Critical Thinking
You don't simply identify problems—you solve them. You can evaluate a situation, understand the implications, consider multiple options, and make sound decisions quickly.

Organization
You are highly organized and capable of managing schedules, budgets, materials, subcontractors, documentation, and client communication simultaneously without losing sight of the details.

Attention to Detail
You notice the things others miss. You understand that quality is achieved through consistent attention to detail throughout the entire construction process.

Communication
You communicate professionally, clearly, and proactively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, designers, and team members.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in residential construction or remodeling.
  • Proven experience managing residential construction projects.
  • High-end remodeling or custom residential experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with construction/project management software is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in the field and regularly visit active construction sites.

The Nova Standard
At Nova Design Build, we believe a successful project is about more than simply completing construction. It is about doing things the right way, communicating honestly, maintaining high standards, and delivering an exceptional experience for the homeowner.

We are looking for a project manager who shares that mindset and wants to be part of a team that is committed to quality, precision, craftsmanship, and putting the client first.

If you take pride in your work, hold yourself to a high standard, and have the experience and mindset to lead high-end remodeling projects, we want to hear from you.
