What will you do?
- Spot and weld assemblies
- Proper handle and use of jigs safety and properly
- Cleaning welds and removal of splatter when weld is completed
- Identifying weldment with assigned stamp
- Follow through on First Part Checked procedure
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain schedule and deadline requirements
- Take instruction and work load assignments from Supervisors
- Gather and transport product from Shop to Designated areas
- Safety inspections of hoists, forklifts and weld equipment
- Inspecting and reporting any non-conforming product
- Attend training as directed by management
- Participate in lean initiatives as directed by management
What do you need to succeed?
- Ability to read shop drawings
- Ability to follow safe work procedures
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little
or no supervision - Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication and weld process
- Ability to get along well with others
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long amounts of time
- Frequent stooping, reaching
- Moving over uneven, rough ground
- Climbing ladders and stairs
- Lifting or carrying 50lbs
- Performing physical labor for long periods of time
- Pushing, pulling or dragging up to 50lbs
- Working outside in the elements (cold, hear, rain, snow)
- 4 x 10 hours, Monday to Thursday, Night Shift 5:30 PM – 4 AM
- Must be willing to relocate to Humboldt/Englefeld area
- Must be eligible work legally in Canada
