What does a relocation welder do?

A relocation welder fits, fabricates, and lays out metal components to create structural forms, such as bridge parts, machinery frames, and pressure vessels. Your duties in this career include reading drawings and blueprints for equipment, parts, and machinery to plan procedures and layouts, setting up welding components per the specifications, and determining which tools and other welding equipment are appropriate for a specific job. Other responsibilities include helping to package items after welding them, welding different materials, and aligning workpieces or parts for proper assembly.
