Job Overview
Komatsu is offering a paid entry-level apprenticeship for an Electrician! In this role you'll travel the United States 6 days a week, as well as work in the shop in Mesa Arizona learning how to do electrical work on large mining shovels.
Please note this is a temp to hire job.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Entry-level work including electrical cabinet rebuilds and shovel rewiring (wiring only, not live electricity)
  • Shop-based rewiring of electrical components and cabinets
  • Field work rewiring shovels during overhauls
  • Assistance with troubleshooting, new machine builds, and relocation of machines
  • Work under supervision, with a focus on safety and process improvement
  • Flexible schedule and travel required based on job location

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Completion of an Electrical Technology program or equivalent field experience (1-3 years preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC systems, ability to read schematics, and use diagnostic tools
  • Willingness to work in diverse teams and travel to various field locations
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug/alcohol, background check)
  • Physical ability to perform moderate lifting, climbing, and other hands-on tasks
