Job description

Description
Performs the cultural dances of various Polynesian cultures for one or more shows in a way that reflects the Polynesian Cultural Center's standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs various types of cultural dances.
  • Attends practice sessions to upgrade the quality of performance of current songs and dances, and may assist the assigned Cultural Presentations supervisor teach new songs and dances.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements
  • Able to perform, and subsequently teach, a solo or feature dance of the assigned Polynesian culture.
  • Good health, a full range of body movement and capable of moving freely among the guests.
  • Look Polynesian.
  • Able to communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three years of professional experience as a Polynesian dancer.
  • Recognized as a skilled performer and cultural authority by the culture being represented.
